About Dunkin

Hello! I have a dog named Dunkin who is in need of a home. I 'saved' him a few months ago from a terribly abusive situation and have been looking for a home since then. (Not intending to keep him bc I knew I couldn't). There has been zero luck and I cannot keep him any longer. He is a mixed pit, male, a little over 1 yr old, about 75 lbs. He is vaccinated, but not fixed. He was abused, neglected, used as bait, left outside, not fed, not watered. As of right now, he cannot be around other dogs due to his upbringing. He hasn't been exposed to cats or children. He's okay w strangers. He may jump on you if you get too close. He LOVES to play ball, (trying to get the catch and retrieve thing down lol), and tug of war w a rope. LOVES bones and chewy toys. He is crated while I am at work, not for training purposes. He is an inside dog w minimal training,( other than to fight other dogs unfortunately). However, he is very smart and has great potential w learning new things and rules!! Very snuggly. Loves to sleep w me most of the time. While on a leash, he tends to tug and walk quickly. Clumsy in the car-doesn't sit still. No dog parks!! He us curious in public, wants to sniff everything out. He is fine if there are no other dogs around. He does not have any food aggressions. But eats very quickly!! He has some possession over his toys. He does park and is destructive when left alone, especially if he does not have access to a bone or toy. He takes trazadone PRN He has no medical issues to my knowledge. His first and only appt was at Lake Station Pet Clinic to be checked out and vaccinated. Please consider this pup! He is a great companion and will be even better as he matures!!!
