About Popcorn

PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE BIO ON THIS DOG BEFORE REQUESTING AN APPLICATION. MANY OF OUR DOGS HAVE STRICT REQUIREMENTS FOR THEIR ADOPTION. 1. Children over seven, please. 1 year old male Chihuahua mix - about 11 pounds. Popcorn is a very loving dog and a total cuddle bug �%9D%A4��%8F He has good energy, but also likes to snuggle up with his person and is not overly rambunctious. In a matter of days, Popcorn has already learned some basic commands and gotten well acquainted with the dog door- in fact he's the fastest we have had at learning how to use the dog door! He's smart and eager to please! Like most dogs, he loves to go on walks and has been great on the leash. Popcorn has gotten along great with our Chihuahuas and did well with our parents' large dog. He likes to go in the backyard and sniff around but doesn't spend too much time out there. He does his business and comes back inside. He IS a flight risk and will need a fully enclosed backyard or to be on the leash when going outside. At night, Popcorn has done well sleeping in his kennel after receiving a little bit of love. Popcorn is ready for his own person to cuddle and love! He has a touch of separation anxiety, so a person who is home more than away would suit him just fine! Respectful children over 7, please. He is such a sweet boy and ready for his forever home!! Adoption contract and fee applies. All adoptable dogs can be met at adoption events hosted every weekend. All dogs are fostered throughout the Puget Sound area and are brought to the events where they can be met by prospective adopters. Puppies are adopted with a refundable spay/neuter deposit (in addition to the adoption fee) and adopters are required to get their puppy to our vet for their pre-scheduled spay-neuter appointments. If you live within a five-hour radius of Seattle, WA, (such as Portland, Vancouver B.C., etc.), we can arrange for a home visit. If your home seems like a great fit for the dog you would like to adopt, you must then drive to meet the dog at one of our weekend events or at the fosters home.
