About Buddy and Moo Moo

PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE BIO ON THIS DOG BEFORE REQUESTING AN APPLICATION. MANY OF OUR DOGS HAVE STRICT REQUIREMENTS FOR THEIR ADOPTION. 1. If there are children in the home, they must be respectful, older children. Meet Buddy & Moomoo: The Perfect Pair! Buddy: 8 years old, 5 lbs., chihuahua mix Moomoo: 10 years old, 11 lbs., terrier mix Buddy and Moomoo are a bonded senior pair searching for their forever family. Buddy is happy and confident. He likes making new (human) friends, giving kisses, and curling up by your side. Moomoo is shy until she gets to know you. She likes playing with toys, pawing at you for attention, and getting belly rubs. They both enjoy going for walks and car rides. Need company while you're working from home? Buddy will sit on your lap during Zoom meetings, and Moo will entertain you by tossing her stuffed toys in the air. Buddy and Moomoo are still working on potty training. They coexist well with the other dogs in their foster home but have not been cat tested. They can probably live with respectful children who will honor their age and small size. Their adopter should be prepared for the expenses of 2 senior dogs. Buddy has a heart murmur. Currently, he doesn't need medication, but he will need a heart checkup every 6 months. Moomoo has luxating patellas in her back knees and will probably require surgery. They are otherwise in good health. These two are heartbreakingly cute and sweet as pie. They can't wait to meet you! Smidget Rescue is not a shelter, and dogs cannot be seen at the Rescue location. All dogs are fostered throughout the Puget Sound area and are brought to the events where they can be met by prospective adopters. Puppies are adopted with a refundable spay/neuter deposit (in addition to the adoption fee) and adopters are required to get their puppy to our vet for their pre-scheduled spay-neuter appointments. If you live within a five-hour radius of Seattle, WA, (such as Portland, Vancouver B.C., etc.), we can arrange for a home visit. If your home seems like a great fit for the dog you would like to adopt, you must then drive to meet the dog at one of our weekend events or at the fosters home.
