About Monica

Lab / German Shepherd
Age: Puppy
Sex: Female

Hi Everyone! My name is Monica, but my foster mom often calls me 'The Best Girl Ever'! I am around 1 1/2 years old and suspected to be a lab/shepherd mix weighing a healthy 51 pounds. You may have seen my puppies from the fall litter, all 11 of them! While I loved being a mommy and did a great job, now that they have all gone to their forever homes it's time for me to find mine. So let's start with some pros about me (there are a lot): %90%BEI am super sweet! %90%BEI get along great with other dogs %90%BEI love kids and am gentle when meeting them %90%BEFully house trained and not destructive %90%BELove toys, and not possessive at all %90%BEEqually happy to play or lounge around with you %90%BECuddling is my favorite %90%BEHaven't met a cat, but foster mom thinks I would be fine with them %90%BEGreat leash manners %90%BEI love food, who doesn't? %90%BE I have learned how to take my treats nicely %90%BE Shiny black coat (some people consider this a negative because black dogs statistically take longer to adopt) But my foster mom says they are the best, so this is a bonus! %90%BESpayed, no more pups for me! %90%BE Up to date on preventatives and vaccines Now for the con: %90%BE I can be pre-adopted but can't go to my forever home until after the end of the year. Foster mom says I have something called heart worms and they have to treat them first. But she promises to take great care of me while I am waiting and will send updates. Believe me, I am worth the wait! Apply today to come meet me in York, PA, you won't be disappointed! I love meeting new people and can't wait to join your family. %9D%A4%8F We are PA Caring for K-9's, an all breed dog rescue that is solely run by volunteers. Most of our dogs are rescued from high kill shelters in the South. If the dog is posted, they are still available! Once arriving, these dogs enter foster homes, as we do not have a shelter. We cannot adopt out dogs to a home with dogs that are not fixed or up to date on shots. If interested in adopting please submit an application online at www.pack9rescue.org. Our adoption fee for altered dogs is $300 and goes directly to saving the lives of more dogs. Our adoption fee for unaltered puppies will be $350 which includes a refundable $50 deposit upon receipt of spay/neuter certificate. We are an all volunteer organization and we are always looking for more help. Learn more about adopting from us or volunteering for us at www.pack9rescue.org or check us out on Facebook for more information and a complete list of dogs available for adoption.
