About Tracks

Staffordshire Bull Terrier mix
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

This post is going out with a prayer that somebody sees this and saves Tracks from being euthanized . The shelter is full and they are euthanizing for space !! Happy and friendly Tracks is timestamped for Sunday 12/05@10am. Available for adoption or rescue! Please email [email protected] if your rescue can pull or if you can foster through rescue. To adopt, go directly to Acct. Acct is open from 10am-6pm daily for walk up adoption appointments. Tracks knows sit, walks nicely on leash with stuffie, does best with open palm when treating, and has the best ears in the business! Tracks ACCT-A-102101 Dog - Mixed Breed (Medium) Sex : Male Age : 4Y / 1M / 3W Weight : 55.50 lbs Location: Large Dog Kennel, F7 Adult-Only Home Preferred TRACKS ACCT-A-102101 is currently considered urgent and at risk of euthanasia due to kennel stress. Tracks must have confirmed placement with an ADOPTER or RESCUE PARTNER by Sunday, December 5, at 10 a.m. Should Tracks' medical or behavioral status change, his urgency and timeline for placement may also change. Tracks is an adult male mixed breed dog that came to us as a stray almost two months ago. He is a sweet, playful boy who has a lot of fans here! However, he has been here so long his behavior is deteriorating and he is showing signs of severe kennel stress. (He goes 3 days without actual walks). He has developed a leash-biting habit that has made it difficult to return him to his kennel after a walk. (He has been leash biting for weeks, however the behavior has been successfully managed by using a chain leash and providing a squeaky toy for Tracks to carry. There is no leash biting when he has a squeaky toy in his mouth and he carries it for long walks. To return to kennel, you throw a treat and he jumps in. That's it. To retrieve the toy, throw a treat and he drops it. No biggie. He wants to go for walks, but is no more frantic in kennel than 50 other dogs there. Unclear if staff have looked at walk sheets.) He continually paces, circles, and whines, often demonstrating frantic escape-seeking behaviors with escalating arousal (maybe he's doing that when a staff member is present in a desperate attempt to attract attention after not having a walk for 3 days). Tracks urgently needs to leave the shelter with an adopter, foster or rescue group able to provide a home environment (he cannot go to a kennel-based placement) where he can decompress and get the exercise and attention he needs to stay happy and healthy. Please this is the write up , the ACCT are killing adoptable dogs for BS reasons they have to show why . I saw these angels videos and he is adoptable and sweet . Please text me 5164573678 and i will send you more videos and pictures ! This boy does not deserve to leave in a garbage bag , these monsters already killed 2 yesterday . ACCT Philly is located at 111 West Hunting Park Ave in Philadelphia. We are open for adoptions 7 days a week. Please visit www.acctphilly.org/adopt for details.
