About Thor

Meet Thor Bracchi! Thor came to us from a local animal control shelter rescued just-in-time. We believe Thor is a Bracco Italiano which is an Italian Pointer. Thor weighed in at 70 pounds but has definitely gained weight being here with us. He should be 90 plus. He is gentle, sensitive, docile, faithful and at times voices his opinion (must be the Italian in him). He is also pretty much like Beethoven in the very first movie always into things! He has a mind of his own and knows how to open up the container where we keep our food (sometimes you catch him with his whole head in it chomping down. Lol). He is a wonderful companion dog that will provide lots of laughs! He loves to play with other dogs and he has been a sweetheart to everyone that has met him thus far! He seems to do fine in a Great Dane size crate although he prefers not to be in one if he can help it. He will make a mess in one slinging his water! He definitely loves to sniff around and roam in a large fenced-in yard area and can easily open up a gate if you don't put locks on them. You can tell he can have an incredibly strong attachment with his family and like a Great Dane demonstrates extraordinary devotion to his people. Thor is a wonderful boy that would do well in any home that loves big dogs that will devote time to him. He would do best in a home where there is someone around all the time or you don't know what he will get into while you're away! haha... He could make the show 'Good dogs gone bad!'. Thor is fully medically vetted; neutered, up-to-date on all vaccines, heartworm tested slightly positive so he is currently on treatment at no cost to the adopter plus microchipped.
