About Homer

Adoption Fee: $50
Pit Bull / Boxer
Age: Adult
Sex: Male

I rescued Homer from PACC in 2017 from being euthanized. He was marked as aggressive but has only ever been the sweetest dog to myself and all adults he has met. Unfortunately, my husband and I had a baby in October and he is aggressive towards her. I am heartbroken having to do this, but my daughters safety is my priority. I am asking an adoption fee to be sure he goes to a good home. He is high maintenance, I won't lie. He has separation anxiety and containment phobia so he cannot be left alone in small spaces/rooms or he will try to chew through doors and rip up carpet. He does not do well with dominant dogs, but is fine with more submissive ones. He has a lot of allergies and has to have a certain brand of food that we've only found on Chewy, as well as certain treats. If he has anything else, he does get sick and itchy. He needs his anal glands expressed and ears cleaned every couple months. He loves to sunbathe, but he gets benign growths from doing so. We have had 2 removed but if he's in the sun too much he will get more. He's weird about laying on floors, so he has his favorite blankets. He loves nylabones to chew on, they're the only things he can't destroy. He is a lot, but he will love you with everything he has. I do not want him to end up back in the shelter. If you are interested, please let me know. He will come with the rest of his food, treats, bowls, collar, harness, leash, muzzle, favorite toys and blankets, and all of his vet records and allergy list.
