About Dempsey McDreamy

Dempsey is 3 years old and intact. He came to live with us when we bought him from a breeder 2 years ago because he was in danger from another male, so she said. He and our female (6yeats old) had one liter last year, 5 beautiful pups! They are best friends�'�| but we are having such a hard time with him biting people , some times nipping, herding, sometimes breaking skin, and he's going after other dogs at times. Some times he's great with his 'cousins' and then if one tries to eat near him he goes after them. Or if he thinks I'm in danger he goes after them. Recently he pushed past my husband and got out of the house and attacked a large poodle, a mother walking her dog and 2 little kids. So scary. We just can't take a chance like this anymore. When he's just with us we have zero problems with him! He's lovable and listens, he's low key�'�| plays with his girlfriend Tuxi and has never harmed her�'�| she's the boss! But we don't want to keep worrying every day that some thing even worse will happen. If you have an interest or any ideas that we can try, please feel free to contact us. I would love to talk to some one who feels they can work with him and have a terrific home life together! We do not want to do this, so this is very emotional for us. We have talked to trainers about private classes, we've used a muzzle and he does well with it but of course can't keep him in it for long period of time.
