About Henry

Henry is a really calm boy who loves more than anything to please my husband and I. He likes to play outside but is quick to come inside and lay on his bed in the living room. Henry does have medical issues which is why we need to surrender him. He has skin allergies to many allergens. He will scratch so much that his skin becomes broken and then gets infected. He goes through phases of it looking good and phases of really bad flares. We have to take him to the vet every couple months for an antibiotic and steroid and he is on Apoquel, hydroxyzine, and fish oil year round. We also give him chlorhexidine baths once a month. His monthly expenses are about $125. We are needing to give up Henry because our financial situation recently changed. I am in nurse practitioner school at Vanderbilt and unable to work so we are living on only my husband's salary.We have been able to provide for Henry during the first semester of my program but we are at a point now where it is too stressful to continue. Henry's medicine and vet appointments are too expensive for us right now and we can't stand to not do those things for him and watch him suffer. He is such a great dog and will be the perfect addition to someone's family who has the means to provide for him. With adoption his crate, shampoo, current medications and food, bed, and collar leash will be included. We are willing to drive to meet you for meeting him and rehoming him.
