About Pirate

Welcome Pirate to CCPAL Rescue. Pirate is a 65-70 lb pit mix lap dog! He is an indoor dog. Pirate is house trained and uses the doggy door. He will sit and stand for a 'cookie'.....ok, he will do anything for a treat. Pirate is 5-1/2 years old. He is up-to-date on all his vaccinations (to include his yearly heartworm shot). He is neutered and takes monthly flea/tick meds. Pirate loves his people. He loves to snuggle and loves to play. Pirate does well on and off the leash. Pirate loves to lay in bed or on the couch with you. He is a great companion. Pirate will do well with an older couple or a family with older children. He should be an only dog (does NOT get along with male dogs). He is currently playing with a foster (female) puppy in his current home. He gets lonely if no one is home and prefers to go with you if you are leaving the house. He loves to go on car rides and look out the front window as you drive. He loves to shop at Lowes and Home Depot (anywhere that allows dogs). He loves when other people stop and talk with him. Pirate is also called upon by our vet clinic as a blood donor when there is an emergency at the clinic. He calmly sits as he donates. He is a trooper. Pirate is ready for his forever home! He would make a lovely companion dog for some lucky family. If you want a companion that loves that job then this is your boy. He wants to be with his human 24/7 if possible. He would be a great therapy dog. He is in Texas and can be adopted locally. We can work with one of the wonderful transporters to deliver him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 250 and transport is 180. This is a WONDERFUL dog!!!
