Atticus is family pet. He lives in a hiuse with four kids, 2 cats, and 2 other dogs. He sleeps in our room and is a constant member of the family. Atticus is reactive while on leash. He is very difficult to walk. Atticus also barks when he sees another animal pass our house. I believe both of these reactive qualities comes from anxiety. Atticus is great at night when the outside is dark and outside life activity slows down. We live on a golf course with large windows and so there is a lot of activity. Atticus needs a home where he will have open space to roam with a fence. He loves his people and so he needs to be a companion. A ranch or farm would be best for Atticus. He is submissive to other animals that he knows. The other dogs and cats snuggle up to Atticus. He does well when we board him when introduced to the pack. We love Atticus and are looking for a home that can give him a better life than we can which we believe is free roaming fenced in area with lots of love and companionship. He does not like crates nor has he ever been in one.
