About Rufus

This handsome Doberman mix boy is Rufus, who is about 9-10 years old and approximately 45lbs. Rufus was rescued from the shelter where he was found as a stray with no owner claiming him. He was quickly rescued and taken to the vet where he got a full exam. They found a mass in the diaphragm area, but given his age and that it seems to be settled only in one lung lobe, the vet feels it's best to leave as is for now. Don't let Rufus' diagnosis sway you, this sweetheart of a dog absolutely loves to chase a ball and he will get so happy when someone has one in their hand. He also loves a good casual stroll and is a great companion on those walks. Rufus is one amazing pup who loves being around people and other dogs of all sizes. He is a very well behaved boy who aims to please and is a pro at working on his potty training skills. A comfy snooze on the couch with you is one of his favorite pastimes, but he will also lay in his dog bed. He could got into a home that has another sweet dog or he could be an 'only' dog if he has owners that are not gone long hours during the day. We love this boy to pieces, and in our eyes, he is absolute perfection! A home that will spoil him and shower him with the love that he deserves, would be all we could hope for and more for our beautiful boy. We only adopt in Southern California as an in person home check and trial period are required. Rufus is neutered, microchipped and vaccinated.
