About Riven Roo

Riven Roo was rescued off of the reservation and then made his way to us through the Arizona Humane Society. He is 2.5yrs old, and 22lbs. Riven Roo has been sweet as can be with us and seems to be a total love bug with adults he trusts, but will be leery of strangers. He LOVES belly rubs, going for walks, cuddling on the couch, and playing & exploring in the backyard. Riven loves to play, especially ball & will make a wonderful fetch partner. Once he trusts you, he is a very sweet and obedient boy! He's a quiet guy, you'll hardly hear him bark. He is fully housebroken, knows how to use a dog door, and is kennel trained as well. He loves to be near his human(s), receiving affection, and happy to just 'be'. He does have a few quirks, but who doesn't? We don't know his previous life, but it wasn't the best. He is looking for a mature adult home with 1 or maybe 2 people. He has displayed some owner possession, because he is THAT loyal, so a single person may be best. He needs a home with limited to no visitors, or confined in a separate room if people come over to visit. He will need a very slow introduction with new people, as he is wary of scary strangers and is so loyal that he wants to protect his person. We feel Riven would be best as the only dog, looking to be the center of attention in his home. However, on walks he has no issues with other dogs he meets, and in his foster home. He may do ok with another mellow dog in the home, but we would prefer he be the only dog just to safe. Riven is looking for a home/condo with a secure fenced yard to run around in. He is such a sweet boy, that was failed by humans. We just want him to have the chance at an amazing life!
