About Georgia

Belgian Malinois mix
Age: Adult
Sex: Female

Georgia is a female Belgian Shepherd. She is approximately 7 years old and weighs about 48 lbs. She is spayed and microchipped. I rescued Georgia 5 years ago. The shelter thought it was likely that she had spent the first year of her life living as a stray on the streets of San Francisco. She spent another 9 months bouncing around shelters until I found her. She does not like other dogs and the shelter thinks this is why. She will 'pretend' to like other dogs until they are close to her and then, well, not so much. She has never been around small children unless she was supervised. She seems to like children, but I'm not sure about that as she is very excitable. She also has never been around cats, so I can't say how she is with them. She is very sweet and smart. She loves to play where she has the toy and I chase her. She loves to play 'hide and go seek' I hide and then she comes and finds me and I chase her and hide again. She gets the 'zoomies' and is super fast. She is terrified of fireworks, slamming doors and brooms. She is trained to get in her kennel when I say 'kennel'. She actually loves her kennel. She also knows how to sit, stay, lay down, shake and sit pretty. I need to rehome her as I have roommates moving in very soon with a 5 month old baby and I don't know how she would react. I think rehoming her is a better option than 'hoping' it might work out.
