About Opal

Opal is looking for a family that will change her world. She is a smart, sweet, and loving girl who has been waiting for someone to pick her for almost 750 days! Opal is depressed, (we can't blame her) and needs a hero. She walks great on a leash, she does great with people, she can get excited and jump but with a little training, she can learn to stay down. She has not been a fan of the other dogs she has encountered at the shelter so she would need to be an only pet. We KNOW there is a family out there for Opal, maybe a family that has had a dog in the past and is ready to open their heart and home to another. Opal likes car rides and could be your sidekick. Please consider Opal if you are looking to make a difference in a dog's life.** Rescue Me's system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification is unreliable, so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. ** Opal has been spayed, she has tested negative for heartworms, she is fully vaccinated, and she is microchipped. We are a rescue in Mississippi and we travel to Ohio and KY once a month with our pre-adopted pets and meet with the adopters at a predetermined time and location. We can be available for a video call for a virtual meet and greet after an application has been submitted.
