About Sasha

Hello, there! My name is Sasha. I am a 9 year old, 65 pound pitbull mix. I had a loving indoor home until my owner passed away and I ended up in a rural shelter. With all the younger dogs to choose from, no one picked me. Thank goodness I got to come to Augusta Dog Adoptions for a second chance at finding a family who will love me. I'm a good girl who lives to ride! Cars are soooo cool and I love to climb in and sit right in the front seat. I love to take walks and be talked to. I did live with a small dog in the past and would likely be just fine with kids. I had several lumps and bumps that were removed. I'm happy and active and ready to blast into my golden years....maybe in a Camaro....80's model, Z-28 with t-tops! Who am I kidding? I'll ride in a Pinto with you as long as you are taking me home! A reduced adoption fee of $100 does apply for Sasha, our seniors, special medical and behavioral needs dogs and other 'slow to adopt' dogs! Augusta Dog Adoptions is an all- volunteer, foster- based rescue. We take applications online and are scheduling individual adoptions in the Waynesboro, VA area during the pandemic. A $175.00 adoption fee ($300 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries.
