About Stella

Adoption Fee: $175
Pointer / Border Collie
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Hi my name is Stella and I'm working on getting my groove back. I came to ADA from a shelter because I was very pregnant! All my puppies have all been adopted and now it's my turn. I'm approximately 2 years old, 45 pounds, and not sure of my breed. My foster mom thinks I've got a little border collie in me and I jump & play like a gazelle. I love to play ball and hide and seek. A home with another active pup would be great. I am a little shy when meeting new people and it may take me a little longer to gain your trust, but once I do, I'm a love bug. I also get frightened easily and have not mastered walking on a leash very well. Being around other dogs is when I'm at my happiest. I love playing chase, tug of war and zipping around the yard! Belly rubs are also one of my favorite things when I quiet down for the night. I've been known to sleep at the bottom of my foster mom's bed a time or two. I currently use a doggie door to go outside and do my business and to play also. I love having a fenced-in yard to play in. If you are looking for a beautiful, sweet, active girl....here I am! Augusta Dog Adoptions is an all- volunteer, foster- based rescue. We take applications online and are scheduling individual adoptions in the Waynesboro, VA area during the pandemic. A $175.00 adoption fee ($300 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries.
