About Colorado

Hi, my name is Colorado. A kind neighbor found me on the street and took me to a kill shelter. She said I was a very nice dog. And she was right! At the shelter I was a favorite, so much so that one of the volunteers called Outta the Cage rescue and said, 'We have a very special dog here, and I don't want him going to just anyone.' So my new friends at Outta the Cage came and rescued me. Now I'm living with my training friends at Humble K9. They say I'm a happy, active boy who loves learning new things. I'm good with other dogs but I don't need a doggie friend if you just want a best buddy. I like to jump up and hug people, which everyone (except for my trainer) finds absolutely adorable. I'm 2 years old and weigh 48 lbs. I'm probably some sort of Labrador retriever mix. I'm a young dog and would do best in a home where someone could walk me and let me play in their backyard. I'd do best with a family where I can hang with someone during the day. Though I prefer my dog bed, I am crate-trained. I'm also housetrained. I'm snipped, chipped, and vaccinated-I've even had the Canine Influenza and Leptospirosis vaccines! Bottom line? I'm ready for my forever family!
