Bear was dumped in the mountains with nothing but a pile of kibble thrown in the dirt . He remained waiting for someone to return, which of course they didn't. He was coaxed into a car the following day and brought to our rescue in August. He spent some time recovering from his trauma, including wounds around his neck, apparently from being tied out. He was then neutered and vaccinated and acclimated to new people while being readied for adoption. Bear is super sweet and stoic - although recently we have determined that he is terrified of gunshots. We imagine he will feel similarly about fireworks and other sudden loud noises. He is happy to meet all people, and gets along with everyone. He does have an eye for chickens and bunnies, and probably would chase cats, too. Little dogs unknown, but he enjoys the company of larger dogs. Bear is around 65 pounds. He has been living outdoors in a kennel, but when indoors has not had any accidents and seems to be housebroken. He is having trouble drawing views at our rescue as he is not a Ridgeback ... We took him in because he was a special case and needed someone to help immediately. Please share Bear!!
