About Jax

Great Dane mix
Age: Adult
Sex: Male

Jax was a rescue dog. Part Great Dane/Lab is what we were told. He had almost starved to death when his previous owner died and no one new for a week. Very loving dog, but reacts to high pitched noises and kids playing. Very protective. He needs someone that will not have kids playing around. He gets very excited. When we first got him he did not like us mowing the grass and would go after us and try to bite. Does not do that anymore. If the kids were swinging he would try to pull them off the swing. Grandkids were playing and rough housing and he went after them. We just cant have him around the grand kids. He does mind pretty good, and walks real well on a leash. He does nip, and jump on you and gets excited. He thinks he is a lap dog sometimes. Does not bark alot. He will at people he does not know, or some noises. He has been around other dogs. Some good, some not so good. He will be the dominate one. He weighs about 90 lbs.
