I hate that I am doing this. I got Remy 12/15/14. He was an adult approximately 1-2 years old and had been dumped at a ranch. He had been abused. At the time I had a house with 35 acres. I sold the house and have been living in apartments since October 2015. Remy has always had noise phobias especially thunderstorms, fireworks and other loud noise. As he as gotten older, he has gotten much worse. He can no longer tolerate the noise of living in an apartment. I have tried all sorts of drugs, cbd, thundershirts, pheromones, a $600 zencrate and cotton in his ears. None of these help. He needs to be in a quiet neighborhood, preferably somewhere with acreage. He can scale a six foot chain link fence. While I don't have kids, he has been gentle with kids in the neighborhood, so I think he would enjoy kids to play with. He has been good with my other dogs, including a small Chihuahua mix. He might chase farm animals and wildlife. He hasn't hurt any. Considering how much longer he could live and my financial situation, I don't think it's fair to expect him to continue living in an apartment. I'm hopeful he can find a better living situation. He is healthy and has had yearly blood, urine and stool tests that were negative for any problems.
