About April

Whose heart doesn't just melt over a sweet senior pup. Well April is as sweet as they come. She loves her people so much...and loves belly rubs and giving kisses. April's about 8 years old but she has the spunk of a teenager. This girl loves doing her zoomies and working for treats. She's also a great walker on the leash and doesn't pull at all....she's just out taking in all the sights. Aprils life wasn't always so full of love. She was dumped at a high kill shelter by the only family she ever knew - just because. And her 'family' noted that she was kept in the yard and basement most of her life. Well their loss is your gain, because now she is safe, healthy and happy and ready to bring some joy into your life. If your looking for the best companion, and cuddles on the couch, leisurely walks and unconditional love, April is your gal! Not to mention she's a sucker for music and loves when you sing to her. she's really just all around the sweetest girl. The ideal home for April would be pet free, although she doesn't react at all to other dogs or cats when out walking. Squirrels are a different story, we think they tease her in the yard. She has had nice meets with children so she could be a great family dog. She may need some slow introductions to strangers...as she is choosy with who she likes and wants to let in her home.
