About MOOSE - Shelter Dog

MOOSE is a 5 year old Lab mix who has been stuck in a shelter since September 2017, where the longtime resident is the volunteer favorite owing to his exuberant and goofy personality. MOOSE would be an excellent hiking buddy and loves the water. You should see him in his pool! Fiercely loyal, MOOSE adores his caretakers. MOOSE has a tendency to nip and grab when he is unsure of a situation, and will need an experienced person to follow, one who will boost his confidence and make him feel secure. MOOSE would do best in a quiet, low traffic home with no young children, preferably no teenagers and absolutely no cats, though he could potentially live with another dog. MOOSE has been let down by people in the past and longs for a loving home with a patient person who can provide him with the structure and routine he needs to become the happy dog he truly deserves to be.
