About Toby

Hi! My name is Toby. My foster mom changed it to Toby because the Texas shelter named me Tupac. I like Toby better. ���S I'm just over a year old and 25 pounds. I'm a Cowboy Corgi, so I'm a Corgi and Heeler mix. When I lived in Texas, I lived in a house with a bunch of dogs in a hoarding situation. I have some scars on my face and ears from being picked on by the other dogs. I also had a bunch of fleas and ticks, so I have some scars from those too. I'm a nervous and shy guy, so no kids for me. I need some confidence boosting for sure. I bonded with my foster mom real quick and sleep next to her in her bed at night. She's working real hard with me so I can learn that people are friendly and just want to pet and love me. Since my foster mom has treated me so well, when she leaves, I get some separation anxiety. I also don't like being in a crate, so I need to have a person that's around most of the time. I'm working on potty training and I'll be neutered soon, so that will help a lot. I'm just starting to play with my foster brothers. They are real nice to me and let me go at my own pace for play. I can be an only dog or have some foster siblings if they are nice and gentle with me. I'm still a pup with much to learn and I need a new person that will be patient with me so I can be my best self. I will need a fenced yard because if I get scared, I'll run like the wind! I walk pretty well on a leash although loud noises like motorcycles and cars scare me. I'll be neutered soon, am microchipped, have been heart worm tested (-), dewormed, and UTD on my vaccines.
