About Lovely Rita

A gem, great with kids over age 8 and other dogs, she's a sweet mama dog! Lovely Miss Rita loves to ride in the car. She also loves belly rubs and a cozy bed. And all affection! This gentle 45 pound gal was rescued along with her two puppies from a dump in SC. Now that her puppies are weaned and adopted she is ready for her own home. Rita is house trained, quiet, very well mannered, lays down when told. She finds wood floors slippery so if you're carpeted it would work out well. Rita is very appreciative of love and affection, shows no food aggression at all and you can even pet her while she eats, although we don't advise. An easy going gal, one of our favorites. Her foster writes: 'I can't really put into words how special she is. It takes getting to know her to really 'know her.' She is a pleaser. She is obedient and she has a gentle sweetness about her.'
