THE SWEETEST and HAPPIEST!!! Rescued off Highway 80 rummaging through garbage... dewormed, no fleas, fully vaccinated, but not neutered. Had a collar, but no chip. He tested 'light positive' for heartworms but I had the vet give medication for that so he should be fully dewormed. He is showing signs of abuse, though he does not seem traumatized - very trusting and eager to please and give lots of love. Walks on a leash OK - just needs a little bit of training and he'll be a PRO! LOVES to snuggle - doesn't lick too much - just once or twice to show love/appreciation. Loves belly and head scratches. Seems house trained - no issues with him going to the bathroom in the house. Very quiet - only barks at the deer that come into the yard at night. Super loving and would do AMAZING with a home that has a fenced in yard to run around and play! He might need you to help teach him how to play fetch or tug, I don't think he's ever been played with before. Took a little bit of work to get him to trust walking through doors and going up/down stairs but after a few times and positive reinforcement he's confidently going up/down, in/out - just needs a 'good boy!!' so he knows he's safe. I don't think he'll do well with cats, but I suspect he'll be excellent with other dogs and children! He seemed very friendly at the Vet, but I haven't fully had enough experience yet to tell.
