About Ember

This little guy is SO sweet!! Definitely a Staffie lol Ember's all of 50 pounds and he is solid. He had several issues when he came here and being too thin was one of them - but he's not now lol Unfortunately, Ember was in a less than ideal location before he came here. He's just as sweet as can be, seeks affection tho can be hesitant at first. Once he gets comfortable his real - and very bouncy lol - personality starts to shine through :) He's very friendly, is fine with most other dogs but slow introductions are a must, he has a true Staffie personality and tends to be impatient. He is very very food motivated and is easily redirected. Has little interest in chasing toys, seems to have little prey drive. He does love to chew though and socks need to be watched! He loves to be with his human and will happily chew on a toy next to you for hours He almost prances when he goes outside off leash - on leash he tends to pull tho we're working on that. He's actually not big on being outside, does his business and heads back in if you let him. As his confidence increases I think he'll want to be outside more. Right now he just wants to be inside on the couch getting belly rubs. His size makes him perfect for a condo as long as his human is as active as he can be and takes him for long walks or runs or hikes lol Older kids okay - he's a little high energy for small children unless very breed experienced adopter Ember is crate trained, housebroken, knows sit, wait and has done really well with learning his manners!
