About Dante

Dante is super active and very athletic. He loves to be outside and run and jump. He is even good at catching mice and rats. He loves to patrol the perimeter of the yard, chase birds, and chew on sticks (or logs!). He's been known to dig when he gets bored. He's quite a cuddlebug and loves to find a warm place on the couch or even try to get into your lap when it's cold. He doesn't seem too interested in other dogs. He has lived with 2 older dogs without a problem. He has reacted to a visitor dog in the house, so it seems like new dogs might need to be introduced gradually. He lives with backyard ducks and never bothers them. He might need a fence if he is around larger livestock. He's not been tested around cats. Dante cannot be around small children. He is protective of his food and gets nervous when there's a lot of unpredictable movements and noise from kids. He is also very sensitive to having his paws touched. He is house-trained and can follow commands. He is a fun and silly dog, but is still working on some of his boundaries.
