About Caitlin von Calden

Caitlin von Calden is a beautiful 3-4 year old smaller sized Shepherd mix. Her foster mom has so many wonderful things to tell you about Caitlin: 'We are thrilled at how well Caitlin has adapted to her foster home in a very short time! She constantly amuses us with her silly puppy-like play and endearing personality. There's nothing she likes more than hugs and cuddles from her human 'pack', although she also enjoys the rough-and-tumble play with our large male shepherd. After a good romp in the backyard, she is ready to curl up by your side for a well-deserved nap. She quietly absorbs the constant activity in our home - including frequent visits from our family and their kids. She is an absolute gem with our grandkids, gently taking treats from their hands, showering them with kisses and snuggling with them on the sofa. Caitlin can take a bit longer to feel comfortable around some adults, but I'm very pleased with how she is learning to warm up and trust strangers. She takes her cues from our older male shepherd on interacting with houseguests, so it would be great if her forever home included a confident male dog. She eagerly greets dogs of all sizes and shapes on walks and at the park, allowing them their 'due diligence' before engaging in play with wiggles and wags aplenty. She isn't even bothered by the little French Bulldog that constantly snorts in her face! Walks are a breeze with this sweet pup - she's easy on a leash and isn't distracted by barking dogs that pass her way. To top it off, this little sweetheart is also so smart - she's 100% housebroken, quickly learned to use the dog door, and quietly sleeps in her crate all night without a peep. Caitlin has been such a wonderful and easy guest in our home that we are confident she will make some lucky family terrific forever pet.'
