About ZACH

PLEASE READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION BEFORE YOU RESPOND. ZACH was saved from a shelter in Riverside County. He was not doing well in the shelter environment. Him and his siblings (SHAYNA, DUKE and GRADY) were dumped at the shelter by their owners. They were from a hoarding situation. Had no vetting and were very malnourished. And he needed to have his teeth pulled out. He only has his caninies. And now his coat is growing in nicely. He is at least a solid 12 lbs. now. ZACH is now ready for his TRUE FUREVER home. ZACH is a big ham. At first, he can be insecure. But once he gets comfortable, he is a TOTAL sweetheart. He wants to be in everything you do. He wants to help with chores and is an excellent office assistant. ZACH likes toys, the cat tree, and snacks! He likes sleeping on anything soft. You can pick him up, dance with him and give him kisses. He loves to rub his face in your hands and your face. We do not believe he had any real love and attention, so when he does get over-stimulated, he will go away. And it has become a lot less since he's getting used to all the love! Will jump on things to get eye level. He loves his can food...well ANY food. We recently discovered he looovvveeesssss catnip. He's really hard to get pictures of. He will not stay still! He loves to follow you around or get in front of you and walk with you. He will talk to you if he wants something. He truly is a CHARACTER! He loveees other cats too. ZACH is a DOMESTIC SHORT HAIR / BOMBAY MIX. He is about 3 years old. He is good with cats and is non-reactive with dogs. Actually he he's very intrigued with dogs and will walk around with a cat he really likes. He has never been around children. ZACH is currently located at our rescue in Hemet, Ca. DECEMBER 2021: With all the needed social distancing...we are still doing adoptions. We can do meet and greets BY APPOINTMENT ONLY at any of the PETSMARTS listed below. But steps 1. thru 4. of the ADOPTION PROCESS must be done first. VOLUNTEERS are the only ones allowed to do meet and greets...not PETSMART employees. Gas donations always appreciated! ADOPTION PROCESS: 1. Request Application: By Email / In Person / Fill Out Online Form 2. Submit Application 3. Someone Will Call / Text to Do Phone Interview 4. Will be notified of Approved Application 5. Meet and Greet with Kitty 6. Sign Adoption Contract 7. Pay Adoption Fee 8. Home Visit (WILL BE SCHEDULED) 9. Take the Kitty Home ************************ NO OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS *********************** You can obtain an application one of 3 ways. The 1st is to physically go to the PETSMART where the pet is located (or the others listed below) and request one from our volunteers. VOLUNTEERS are only there 9 am to 12 pm (Monday thru Saturday) and 10 am to 1 pm on Sunday. Once filled out please return to the VOLUNTEER. You may ask the volunteer if you can briefly meet the cat / kitten. But please be aware some of them might not be comfortable to let you meet the pet due to COVID. If he or she is not a fit...we have plenty of other cats / kittens available for adoption. We are a SMALL rescue based out of Hemet, California. We are all volunteers that run the rescue.
