About Hank

Hank is a 5 year old, 80lb coonhound. We love him dearly, but our family's circumstances have changed drastically since we adopted him. Though we have tried many strategies to keep Hank in our family, we have conceded that it is just not possible. We adopted Hank from the Humane Society in 2019 when he was a puppy. He had been on a farm before that. We love Hank with all our hearts, but our family has gone through some changes and we are not financially able to give Hank the care he needs. We live in an apartment and are not able to move, but Hank is a blue tick coonhound and needs space to run and play and bark! Hank has had several temporary homes as we have tried to adjust our circumstances to keep him in our family, but it seems as if we are not going to be able to care for him again any time soon. It isn't fair to keep shuffling him around and we want Hank to be able to settle somewhere with people who love him and can give him the life he deserves. Hank would do best in a home with older kids or no kids (he can get food aggressive and toddlers don't respect that.) He gets along with other dogs and cats. He would love a fenced backyard. He can't go off leash. He loves dog parks and barking, running and swimming. He is very loving and friendly. He has never bitten anyone, though he barks a lot at the mailman and bicycles.
