About Rita

Hi! My name is Rita and I'm a fabulous young girl dog! I am soft as the day is long. My coat has this luxurious feel to it. It's thick and soft and you will probably want me to lay your head right down on my soft body and use me as your pillow! I will let you because I really love people and being close with you will be my favorite thing. I am a mama's girl or a daddy's girl through and through. I will do great in a family that wants to have a sweet and happy girl. I'm smart and I will learn quickly what you teach me. It will be fun learning puppy-dog etiquette together. Up until this point in my life, I haven't had anyone teaching me manners so I do jump up to try to get into your lap for petting and cuddles. The volunteers here have taught me how to sit and wait. I like learning good manners. Isn't that great! I'm an excellent student and an ever greater pup! I've been around cats and ignored them. Not that I don't like the cats, it's just that I don't really have a reaction one way or the other it seems. That's OK! It just expands my options to include a home with cats, so that's good. I'm friendly with dogs and have been a good roommate with some dogs. I do know how to respect their boundaries so we can share space. I could be an only dog, I could be a companion for another dog, I could have a cat sibling! The options are endless, really. Either way, with a dog friend, or with a cat friend, or just with human people -- I am eager to find a family to call my own! Let's play play play! I hope you inquire about me today!
