About LuLu

LuLu is a Bali Dog, from Indonesia. For more info on that breed click here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kintamani_(dog) Someone brought her over from Indonesia in 2018 and could not take care of her. LuLu ended up at my doorstep 3.5 years ago and I've been caretaking her since then. She needs a more stable home environment and someone who is around more consistently. LuLu loves walking and adventures, and just being in the room with her people. She would do AMAZING with a homebody who lives quiet and consistent lifestyle, and is happy to exercise her. She's extremely loyal, protective of and incredibly caring to the people she knows and loves. LuLu has a hilarious personality and loves to play, and can be quite sassy at times too. She will eagerly greet you every morning, and is extremely smart--she uses buttons to communicate when she wants food or to go outside (and is so good at it, sometimes you need to take the buttons away because she likes to eat A LOT!) LuLu would do best in a household with no other pets, unless under the care of an extremely experienced dog trainer, and no children. She's very smart, highly intuitive, responsive. LuLu has some special issues (resource guarding, aggressive tendencies when she is startled and anxious behaviors) due to her history as a street dog. She is a favorite at her dog training center in Santa Ynez, CA where she goes for boarding too and has been prong-collar and collar- trained. She's very smart and responsive to consistent training, and would do best with someone with experience with dogs. I love LuLu to pieces and want the best for her. My housing and financial situation keeps changing and it has become challenging for me to provide a great environment for her.
