Vegas is THE BEST BOY WITH THE WORST STORY! He is such an amazing dog who fought for his right to live and came out on top! With a heart full of love and affection, all Vegas lives for is human companionship. Vegas is an 11-year's young, 75-pound male pit bull / boxer mix residing in Lawrence, MA. After a decade of being an Emotional Support Animal, it's now Vegas' turn to have an Emotional Support HUMAN! In his previous home, Vegas's sole companion was an individual with disabilities. He was an all-around wonderful dog who loved to cuddle, play with kids, go swimming, chomp on squeaky toys, and walk in the woods. He also loved taking baths! Tragically, circumstances changed. He was forced into a shelter where he was mostly isolated for four months. The experience broke his spirit. All we could do was hope he could be rehabilitated by attending a board and train program. His resilience amazed us! With the help of trainers and advocates, he turned himself around after just one month. Each week Vegas wowed us with milestone after milestone! He now greets new people with butt wiggles, looking for pets, scratches, and attention. It would be difficult to find such a sweet, well-mannered companion who is so well-trained. The cost of his rehabilitation was high, but worth every penny to see his smiles and shining eyes again. Vegas is in a loving foster home, waiting for his own person to enjoy his retirement with. Will that be you? This smart and eager dog looks and acts years younger. He would love someone to provide him consistency, routine, and direction. It makes him feel more confident to have a leader who has his back. Vegas is muzzle trained and very comfortable wearing it. Though he's always loved kids, Vegas would prefer they be only visitors during his retirement.
