Diggs is an 8+ year old male boxer mix who has a face that is simply the epitome of adorable. He came to us from a rural shelter in Kentucky where it was easy to see that his life prior to now could not have been good. Diggs is considered special needs because he needs a retirement style home that can help him through his issues of bad hips and sight impairment. This poor boy appears much older than he is, because he has had so many tough times - his foster thinks he could have even been a bait dog at some point, because he has so many scars :-( He has decreased vision and decreased hearing. In his foster home, Diggs is loving life. He lives with another dog and gets spoiled by his foster mom - just what he deserves! He has not been around cats at this time. Though Diggs would be fine around other dogs and dog educated children, we would ideally hope for a home with a low key environment. If there is another dog in the home, low energy would be ideal. If there are children, they must be dog educated and old/mature enough to understand that he is special needs and would not appreciate any over-excitement. Diggs' adoption fee is $150 which includes his completed neuter, microchipping, dental cleaning/extractions, blood work, pelvic x-rays, vaccinations and heartworm/lyme testing. If you want to meet Diggs with hopes to make him part of your family, be sure to FIRST apply on our website for approval: https://www.theroadhomeanimalproject.org/companion-adoption-form-pdf.html
