About Sakura

Young, sweet, beautiful Sakura is available for adoption. About a 1yr or so old this young girl found herself pregnant, in the shelter system and on the euthanasia list. The shelter was unaware of her pregnancy and as soon as we picked her up we knew- then 5 days later she had her pups!! Being so young she did not understand how to care for them and was taken into foster for help and guidance.. with that support she has been a wonderful mother and the puppies have thrived. Now this lovely young girl is ready for her own forever home where she can be the puppy with all the attention! She is friendly with all people and dog friendly. She does have prey drive for cats and any birds- especially chickens. When first at foster she didn't know sit and appeared to never had toys or chew bones and any kind of training. Now she sits like a pro and has been an indoor dog with lots of structure and training. Due to her previous life she can feel like she needs to survive in new situations where she pulls on leash but is always friendly regardless. She can get some separation anxiety but does adjust well. She would do great with a friendly male dog as a companion. She currently plays with her foster dog friends (male and female) and loves to run and play. A young bouncy girl but also knows how to settle down for naps and be quiet through out the day while her foster mom works. She is a great girl that only needed a chance!
