About Domino

Intake Date: 23 Oct 2021 ----- Age at Intake: 1-2 yrs ----- Breed: Pitbull/Boxer mix we are told but he looks like a handsome pittie to me! ----- Size: 70 lbs ----- Status: owner relinquishment, abandonment, hoarding ----- Compatible with: female dogs, children. Came from a home with cats so assuming cat friendly but have not tested. ----- Suitable for: home with fenced yard. ----- Medical/Behavioral Needs: He has been so awesome here. We are told he would fight with a male lab in the home but that the lab was the instigator and Domino just didn't back down which we can see if that was the case. He is amazing with the dogs we have exercised with here which are females his size. ----- Additional Notes: Domino is a super handsome pittie. I may offend some people saying this but we all have our breed preferences and bullies are not one of my top preferred however I really really like Domino! He has been friendly and social. He does pull hard on a leash but we are working on that. Otherwise, he has been such a good boy. This guy had an owner that was incarcerated and was then abandoned in the home with 5 other dogs, 2 cats, 40+ rats, 30+ ducks and chickens, 4 ferrets, 3 guinea pigs, and 6 parakeets all in the home. The conditions were deplorable and it was very difficult to breathe. After being in rescue for weeks, we are now going to place him in his forever home where he can enjoy life and be someone's best buddy! Once processed and approved a meet and greet can be scheduled and if a match an adoption can be finalized at that time. FBS standard adoption fee is $175. All residents are spayed/neutered unless not recommended by a veterinarian, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, and treated for any known medical needs. Breeds are best guess. Housetraining is not guaranteed but crate training is worked on with all residents. A secure physically fenced yard is required.
