About Cocoa

Cocoa is a pretty, very friendly, long legged Chihuahua mix with an adorable underbite! She is a 1 year old, 8-10 pound Chihuahua mix who was surrendered to us with several other dogs out of a hoarding situation. Their owner is a very kind-hearted lady who in an effort to help some different dogs in the community just got overwhelmed and reached out to us for help. Cocoa is very snuggly, and loves affection and attention. If you sit down near her she will jump into your lap for kisses and hugs. She loves to tuck her head under your chin and close her eyes in complete contentment. Cocoa is good with other small dogs and would be happiest in a home with another dog to play and snuggle. She will probably be okay with older kids and we have not tested her with cats. Cocoa is not housebroken, does not know how to walk on a leash, and needs a very secure fenced yard. She is a slender girl who can slip her way through a space in a fence easily! Cocoa sleeps cuddled up on the big bed at night. She loves to be with her person and make someone a great loving and cuddly companion! Cocoa has been to the vet for a wellness check, is up to date on shots, fecal tested, heartworm negative, has had a 12 ProHeart prevention shot, and is microchippped with a lifetime registration. Her spay will be scheduled at one of our vets soon and is covered by the rescue.
