About Dexter

Hi folks - my name is Dexter. I am getting really depressed here at the shelter. My food doesn't hold much appeal and I am losing some weight and getting tired of all of my roommates getting adopted and I am left behind. You see I have been here almost one full year. That is almost a third my life living in the shelter. Don't get me wrong - everyone around here loves me to pieces - they secretly tell me I am 'the favorite'. I am probably a boxer mix as I jump straight up like all boxers do. I am the 'go to' dog around here when they need to pair up another dog with as you see I love everyone. By the way - I will be 3 in October. I am a happy guy and I show it with jumping around you and my tail never stops wagging. When my favorite people come into the shelter I just twist and turn in sheer pleasure as I know it is time for me to get out to the play yard and get lots of extra loving. I am great with other dogs, I am great with humans (maybe a little too rough for small children), I walk great on a leash, I am housebroken and don't have one mean bone in my body - what more could you possibly ask for? I have a partial sponsor on my adoption fee so that is only $125.00. I am neutered (ouch), current on my shots, housebroken, heartworm negative, current on all preventatives and add to that I am one damn handsome guy.
