About Chase

Hi I'm Chase! So named because I love to play fetch! *** I'm about 2 years old and of medium size. I am a mystery mix but this site forces us to pick a breed. *** I love people, sometimes so much I get super excited and jump and jump and jump. My foster mom taught me that I get loved on and petted when I stop jumping. She tells me 'off' and puts the palms of her hands down towards me and I stop jumping then get lovin's. *** My first foster home had two cats who seemed kinda boring to me; I pretty well ignored them unless one ran right past me, but I only like to play. *** There was a fun 6 year old boy at my first foster home who I loved to play with; when he was on the floor I'd get down low to give him kisses. I also loved when he gave me belly rubs. I did have to be careful because one time he picked up a ball and I couldn't contain my excitement and I jumped on him on accident. After that he learned to tell me 'off' and to 'sit' and 'wait' for him to throw the ball/toy. *** My first foster mom thinks I'd have great fun at agility because I can jump almost 6' into the air to catch a ball, and she says I'm super fast! *** With my first foster family there were 3 dogs, 2 cats besides the little human. I got along with the girl dog just fine and the older male German shepherd, and for awhile I played with the big fluffy German shepherd but one day we got in a scuffle. We know why but we haven't been able to explain it to the humans. *** I'm a good boy, and I love to be with my people. *** I love to go for rides in a car. I'm crate trained and don't try to break out. I've been taught to 'sit' with the word and a snap and point, I've been taught to 'drop' a ball so I can keep playing, I'm also learning the word 'wait'. With a simple 'uh uh' correction I'll come back to her or stop what I was doing. I'm very gentle when you give me treats, I love treats! *** I'm told I'm a very sweet boy, just need someone who can keep teaching me some cool new things! *** Oh, I also don't like to be alone outside for long, I get nervous and will try to come find my human. *** At my foster home, the neighbors had these funny birds they called chickens, I left them alone because they looked too weird to play with. *** If you give me my food and I don't eat it, that's probably because I've got to go potty and sometimes I get scared going outside alone so you'll have to come with me please. *** Again, I'm Chase (because I love to chase a ball) and just want to love and be loved!
