No phone calls please!*** Spunky, ya, I think spunky would describe Tori. Or perhaps Lil' Fireball!! If you are looking for a mellow, laid back dog, Tori is not the one for you-lol. Tori has an incredibly zest for life and does not want to miss out on one minute of it! Actually, she has some making up to do, she had spent too much time in a crate previously. Her person would actually put her in her crate and leave her outside of the building. I can't imagine what Tori was thinking, all alone in the heat, rain...cold?? But, she is working on putting the tough times behind her. Tori is becoming more confident every day, but understandably she had some fear issue's and a lack of trust in new people, in particular men. Tori was a little grumbly when meeting the men in her foster home, but given some time and space, let her watch and settle in she is now affectionate and loving. Tori is an active girl but one of her favorite activities is snuggling. She is that girl that just melts in your arms and snuggles her little face into your shoulder, so sweet!! We are TOTALLY guessing at her breed(s), we thought Tori may be a Jack Russel/Corgi mix but after dearching(and googling) we think she may be a 'Dorgi.' Which would explain her behavior, Tori is a busy girl, she has a need for speed and activity and would excel at agility. She LOVEs playing with her other dog buddies and it will be important for her to have another dog in her life, be it in the home-which would be best-or frequent playmates. Tori will do well in an equally active home, she would probably love an occasional jog, or hiking, exploring and perhaps would be great at agility?? We think she would be to much for a home with small children, and they may overwhelm her as well. Older kids would be fine, another dog buddy would be great. ****Tori will need a very dog savvy home that can work with her to keep her social, and even develop more skills to help her feel comfortable in new situations. She is NOT a dog for a first time dog owner or someone that works long hours. She is a very smart girl and figures things out quickly. Tori is just a year old, is housebroken and will make a terrific companion. Her adoption fee is $350, and she will go home with plenty of supplies to help her settle in.
