About DIXIE

Dixie is a 1 year old darling, sweet young girl with the most beautiful markings. She was living with a family and a male dog. The family moved out and left them behind!! The neighbors took them in. The male dog had major separation anxiety. He went through their glass window to go back to his home. Dixie just followed him. The neighbors could not keep the male dog contained so they took both of them to the shelter. We rescued Dixie as she was being sent to the euthanasia room. She was very scared when she first came to us. She is now doing pretty doggone well. She is shy by nature. She's just a baby and needs a loving home that wants to show her the world and have all the fun that she deserves! As she comes out of her shell we see her she enjoying things more and more.
