This animal is available to licensed rescue groups only. Please do not enquire unless with a licensed rescue group. Sam is a lovely and happy girl. She is great with people. Lives with cats and other dogs at this time. And therein lies the problem. Sam would do well as an only pet. Though she is bonded with our male Border Collie, she is very selective about other dogs. Sam was a rescue, one year ago. She was being taken to the shelter due to be aggressive and attacking a smaller dog in the house. She came to me a bit broken. But we live on a ranch, lots of horses,sheep and goats. She does very well in this setting. She bonds with her person, hard and fast. Unfortunately she hates to be told off by dogs smaller than her, and she will snatch and grab them. Our very small chi growled at her and she grabbed him. She now has had a year long vendetta against him. Her prey drive is strong, and he will growl or yelp at something and she will go for him. We practice a lot of separate spaces, but sometimes that moment of inattentiveness can have real consequences. Sam would do well with an active family that would continue her training and love her daily. Even with her quirks. We want her to have a great life, but it will not be here with us
