About Pepper

Pepper is a super sweet, 5-month-old, male shepherd/lab/pit mix who is eager to explore his world with a human companion. He loves going for walks and is doing a great job with his leash training. He gets a little excited and wiggly at first, but quickly settles down and takes direction well. Pepper was found abandoned with his sister, Stella, in Griffin, GA, and is looking for the loving home he so deserves. (Pepper and Stella don't have to be adopted together, but they get along very well, love each other and would make a great pair for a family looking for two bonded doggie buddies!). Pepper gets a bit nervous about loud/scary noises, but isn't reactive to them - he just looks to his human for cues and relaxes when he sees that there's nothing to fear. A little gentle petting reassures him easily and this nervousness will certainly subside once he settles into stable family life. Pepper enjoys belly rubs and ear scratches and is good with dogs, cats and kids. He is also a very fast learner and is mastering his puppy training - he even learned sit, down and roll over in his first training session! He's very treat-motivated and should be a quick study.
