About Bitsy aka Bits

Adoption Fee: $250
Australian Shepherd mix
Age: Puppy
Sex: Female

Meet Bitsy (aka Bits and Bit-aroni), our sweet and sass mixed breed puppy girl (her mama was a full-blooded Australian). Bits just turned 6 months, is about 25lbs and is now fully vetted. Bits sweet side loves cuddles and being treated like a baby princess, while her sassy side likes to talk while acting like a little wild child. Bits is a goofy, cuddly girl that is a complete dork, but in the best ways. She loves running around with her foster siblings, she loves cuddles with her people, is still learning how to operate on her long puppy legs. Bits can be a little slow to show her true lovable colors, but once she warms up to you is one of the sweetest friendliest pupper. Like a puppy, she can accidently bite in the heat of a playful moment which may make her not best for very small children (however, Bits is one of the calmest puppy-puppy that we have had at rescue). When Bitsy runs out of energy, she prefers to cuddle with another pup or her people. Bits is very in-tune with her people which means when they are on the couch, she wants to be on the couch, when they go outside, she wants to go outside. Bits really hates being outside alone, so potty training her in a new home will require some persistence (regular breaks and crate training is highly recommended). Bits is also crate trained, but needs work with leash training. Her foster family is trying hard to teach her, but currently she prefers to act like a broken robot when going for a walk on-leash. Since Bitsy is a mixed breed and we are not 100% sure who Bitsy's parents are, we want potential adopters to be aware that she will mostly likely stay a small girl with long legs, but she could end up larger. Right now, Bits is a small girl with legs for days. Please research Australian Shepherds prior to applying to ensure her adult size and personality traits will be a good mix for your family for the long haul. If interested in Bits, please email us at [email protected] or HeroHoundRescue.org/Adopt for an application!
