About USAIN

Hi, I'm Usain (My shelter ID is #A4608465) Sadly, I am set to be euthanized, Friday, end of day, October 29th. I am a 2-year-old, neutered German Shepherd Mix (wt. 58 lbs.). When my finder approached me, I cowered, and it took him almost an hour to get me into his car. I have now been at the shelter over 90+ days and can no longer tolerate being confined for long periods of time in this small concrete box When taken for a walk, away from the shelter, I have been able to settle somewhat, have allowed petting, and I once did a 'playful bow' with a handler. I need out of a shelter environment and into a home setting where I can relax, decompress, and have daily opportunities to interact with people. I need a patient, experienced adopter or foster that will go slow and give me the time I need to build trust and to become more social. Children in the home are required to be 5+. I have not been assessed with other dogs, so how I might interact with them is unknown or with cats. I am in urgent need of an Adopter or Foster to save my life. Can you help me?
