About Junior

We need FOSTER to help Junior out of the shelter With A Speckled Nose And Adorable Puppy Dog Eyes- This Senior Is Perfect! Junior- 8 years, altered, male, 69lbs, has been at BARCS for 2.5 months This boy is not only super sweet, but super handsome too! While all of our staff and volunteers have fallen completely and utterly in love with Junior, we're left wondering why no one else seems to notice. We would love to see him off to rescue where he can finally find his forever home! If you're looking for an adventure buddy- a slow paced, short trip kind of adventure buddy- Junior is your man! This laid back senior is looking for his new family, and while people tend to overlook the older fellas, this one is just too perfect to do so. From his speckled nose, to his puppy dog eyes, all the way to his well mannered leash skills, Junior is the perfect boy. To pass on Junior is to miss out on one of the greatest! Upon examination, our vets noted that Junior has otitis, alopecia, and a few masses that were recently removed. He also has arthritis and a stiff gait, so we have him on joint supplements as well as fatty acids. A full medical summary can be provided upon request. While in our care, Junior has shown at times unsure but good social behavior around other dogs. He prefers the ladies, of course, but was able to coexist peacefully with both males and females. When he was surrendered, Junior's previous owner reported resource guarding, though in the month that Junior has been at our shelter, he has not shown any concerning behavior like this. No seniors should spend their days in a shelter, especially not one as gentle and as sweet as Junior here. After being surrendered by his owner who could no longer give him the care he needed, we are now determined to find Junior the best new retirement home.'
