About Heidi

Adoption Fee: $400
German Shepherd
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Welcome Heidi to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 3-year-old German Shepherd dog. She is great on a car ride, good in a crate and one of the most loving dogs you will ever meet. She was found as a stray here on the streets of San Antonio, Tx. A good Samaritan started feeding her and noticed her poop had dirt and rocks in it. She was doing what she could to stay alive on the streets. One of CCPAL's amazing volunteers saw her and stepped up to foster her. She is now being fostered and waiting for her forever home. She is good on a leash and very smart and attentive. She would be great with a family with kids. Shepherds are notoriously good with kids. We would like them to be 8 or older. Her best home with be with a GSD family that knows the breed and will be able to keep her physically and mentally stimulated. She weighs about 65 pounds and is a little thin. She could maybe be a 70 to 75 full grown dog. She is getting her vaccines, spayed, heartworm negative and microchipped. She will be ready for her forever home as soon as we find her new home. She is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 400 and transport is 180. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to [email protected] if you have questions.
