About Lorax

Lorax 8yrs Male Orange Tabby FIV+ (FIV+ can easily live safely in a home with FIV- cats.) Lorax came to us in the summer of 2020 from a local animal control. He wasn't quite feral, but he was absolutely not trusting. Slowly, he began to heal both mind and body. We first helped him get over an upper respiratory infection, and he also received a dental cleaning. This helped him feel much better! Then we took time and patiently let him know that human hands are gentle. He is now a love! He may be shy with new people, but we know in a short while he will warm right up! Lorax would be great in a home with other cats or alone. He has been fostered in a home with dogs, but he hasn't had any face-to-face time at all. We are unsure how he would be with dog brothers and sisters. He would likely be OK with older children, but fast-moving children might make him nervous.
