About Nola

Hello New England. My name is Nola. No, I am not from New Orleans, but I am a Southern Belle right out of South Carolina. I am a Tree Walker Coonhound mix with lots of love and affection to give my new family. I have a big personality and a big voice. I love to talk when I want something. If you are a hound lover, you will appreciate my enthusiasm and all the wonderful traits a hound has to offer. For those of you who do not know anything about hounds I will give you a quick lesson. Vocal - check - I do not bark all the time, but I will let you know when I want something from you, or danger may be afoot. Active - check - a fenced yard is needed and another dog to play with. Smaller sturdy dogs are best in my book. If you love me but do not have another dog, be prepared to have all my attention and affection focused on you. And be ready for lots of leash walks. Food driven - check and double check. I love to eat. All the time. I am being introduced to lots of new foods that are healthy for me. Something called vegetables. That is kind of a gross word, but I like them. Loving - check, check and check some more. Every move you make every step you take I'll be right there. Unless you have a playmate for me. But you will still be my focus. Friendly - check with caution. Once I get to know new people, I am great. I have met lots of people at my new foster home. I get to go to work every day so there is lots of people for me to get used to. Playful - check with a big C. I try so hard to play with my new foster dog friends, but they aren't having any of me. I really want a dog friend to play with. Pray driven - no check. I will guard your yard for any stray critters but while out leash walking, I'm not that into it. I have too much smelling and exploring to do. Cats - I'm giving that a no check too. I play way to hard for a cat to put up with me. I am also housebroken if you are paying attention, but I do not potty on a leash. I need a fenced yard. I just learned how to use a dog door and love it. Who knew I could walk through a door? It's magic. And crate trained is a small check. I don't want to be in there all day please. Well, that's about all I can think of now. Tell me about yourself and let's see if we are a good match. Nola is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped & on flea & heartworm preventative.
